I was dating a girl back in 2005 for a few months when i decided to end it and move to Newquay in Cornwall for a summer season of fun.She did not take the news to well and slammed the phone down on me and told me never to contact her again. I thought right.... what a result and started packing. A few of my friends knew i was about to break the bad news to her so i updated them on the situation. The following day I was at my parents house having a BBQ with the whole family as it was a real hot late spring day.My phone started ringing and it was a with held number, here is the following conversation. Me - Hello Dodgy bloke - Is that Tommy Me - yes, who is that? Dodgy Bloke - Never mind who i am, but i am coming to your house to beat the stuffing out of you (will keep the swearing capped as this is a tribute site) Me- errhhh who is this? (bearing in mind i was with my whole family and now crapping myself!) Dodgy bloke - You messed my sister about and now you are going to pay for it, we know where you live and what car you drive! Me - yeah yeah mate, tell me then??!! Dodgy Bloke - Tudor Ave and you drive a VW Golf! Me - Sh*t!!! i then put phone down I am now really worried and didnt know what the hell to do as i had all my family with me and didnt want any trouble on my doorstep in front of my sisters and nephews. The only thing i could think of was to start washing my car as this would keep me at the front of the house and not drag any of my family into the trouble which was about to kick off! I can remember my mum talking to Wayne the following day as he was out on leave at the time, so i thought i would ring him. I didnt want to drag Wayne into my troubles either but i knew if a car full of lads pulled up and saw Wayne they would sh*t themselves! My phone convo with Wayne - Wayne - Hello Tom the bomb Me - Wayne where are you? Wayne - In Windsor metal detecting Me - Can you get to my mums ASAP as i am crapping myself and about to be beaten up as a guy called and told me so. Wayne - Right calm down you tart, two things Tom - if someone wants to beat you up they dont call you to tell you they just turn up and do it and catch you off guard, and secondly you have now ruined my day as i will feel very guilty if you take a right kicking now and i am on my way Me - phew!!!!! i love you Wayne!! 30 minutes later Wayne was at the door like a knight in shining armour! Did the guys turn up!! did they eck! it was my mates playing a joke on me! And no i didnt ever tell Wayne this. I miss you Wayne. Tommy Weedon class 7 age 33
